MOTD Neutral smokey eye and nude lips!

Ello, beauties! Welcome to my first ever makeup of the day post! I experimented with a new look today and thought I would share! I am usually not one to wear brown or neutral tones on my eyes at all, especially with a smokey eye I would typically use darker shades. However, I have all these lovely shadow colors I rarely use so I tried something new!
Here is my look today:

What I used to achieve this look:
Eyes:

First I used my favorite eyeshadow primer - Urban Decay Potion Primer. Apply this all over your lid in a thin layer.

Next I used the Skate Deck Palette from Tokidoki. I used the last four brown and gold colors.

I applied the lightest shade all over my lid up to my brow bone using the "C" eyeshadow brush from my E.L.F. Studio Brush Set.
I then applied the slightly darker brown shade to my lid below my crease using the same brush. I layered the gold shade above it and used the gold to darken the outer "V" of my eye using a contour eyeshadow brush. Lastly, I applied the darkest brown shade above my natural crease just below my brow bone to slightly contour my eyes using a small precision brush.  I then took a fluffy blending brush to merge them all together.

I used Lancome's Artliner to create a dramatic cat eye.
I finished the eye makeup with lots of mascara. I used Too Faced Better Than False Lashes. This is a brand new product that I am really enjoying! I will be posted a review on just this product soon.
This is the finished look for the eyes:

For the face I started off with Smashbox Photo Finish Primer using just my fingers. This is a gel primer and I love how smoothly my makeup goes on after I apply this. It also helps the makeup to last longer.

Next, I applied Revlon Whipped Creme Foundation. I absolutely love this stuff! It is great for my dry skin and it is very long wearing even in the heat! I apply it with my fingers as I feel it warms up the product and I am able to smooth it over my skin quickly. It is a thick foundation with good coverage and looks like real skin after it sets up! I don't powder it at all and I love the way it looks! Comes in twelve shades, mine is in Ivory which is the lightest shade, of course.

Then, I apply, with my fingers, a very small amount of Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer in Porcelain under my eyes in a triangle shape to hide dark circles and brighten my eyes.

I then contour my cheeks using MAC Blush in Prism. I use this like most people use a bronzer. However, most bronzers are too dark and too warm for me so I choose to use this blush instead. I apply it to the hollows of my cheeks using the complexion brush from the E.L.F set I mentioned before. I then use a powder highlighter from the MAC Chenman collection called Play It Proper. I apply it to my cheek bones using a flat powder brush. I will be posting all about contouring and highlighting soon. Stay tuned!

For my eyebrows I fill them in using a small angled brush and NYX Brow Cake in Ash Brown.

Lips:
I used Maybelline Limited Edition Porcelains Lipstick in Nude Nuances. This is a great pinky nude that looks great on many skin tones.

And this is my complete makeup look for the day! I was surprised at how much I liked the brown, subtle smokey eye. Nude lipstick is my new obsession and I thought it went well with this look. Please tell me what you think and let me know what other posts you would like to see in the future! Thanks for reading!
