My skin type is very dry. I do not have problem skin as far as acne, occasionally I will have a small break out but for the most part my skin is clear. I do suffer from a lot of dead skin though and dry patchiness and my skin is rather sensitive. I would not recommend this routine for oily skin at all. I have listed my skin care routine steps below, respectively.
Product: Neutrogena Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover
Price: $5.99 for 3.8oz
Where to Buy: Any drugstore or Ulta
Review: Does the job of gently removing eyeliner and mascara. I use this first before cleansing so I do not need to scrub with my cleanser.
Product: Yes to Carrots Daily Cream Facial Cleanser
Price: $9.99 for 6oz
Where to Buy: Walmart, Ulta
Review: I have been using this for nearly six months. It removes makeup and has a rich, creamy texture. I feel that it is moisturizing and does not leave my skin feeling tight. A little goes a long way as it is very thick and requires a decent amount of rinsing.
Product: Sephora Facial Cleansing Brush (does not have to be this brand, just what I have atm)
Price: $3.00 for one brush
Where to Buy: Sephora
Review: Soft bristles, helps to begin removing dead skin and unclog pores. I apply my cleanser to my face with finger tips then work in with this brush.
Product: Giovanni D:tox System Purifying Facial Scrub
Price: $5.99 for 4oz
Where to Buy: Target, Online stores
Review: This is the only scrub I have ever used that did not leave my face feeling dry! I use this about three times a week. If you are not overly dry you may not need to use this product as much, especially if you are using a facial brush.
Product: Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque
Price: $3.95 or 8oz
Where to Buy: Any drusgstore, Sally's Beauty Supply, Ulta
Review: I only use this when I am having a break out, a lot of blackheads, or if my pores are looking large. This does dry out my skin but helps to dry up and relieve pimples and blackheads and helps to visibly shrink large pores.
Product: Exuviance Purifying Clay Masque
Price: $39.00 for 1.75oz
Review: This is the best masque I have ever used! It leaves my skin feeling brand spanking new! I received one as gratis from my job but I will cough up the 40 bucks for another tube when it is gone as this is my holy grail of facial masques! I am trying to conserve this product so I only use this two to three times a month but it can be used weekly. Does not dry out my skin at all!
Product: Kiehl's Panthenol Protein Moisturizing Face Cream
Price: $26.00 for 4oz
Where to Buy: Dillard's, Kiehl's stores, Online.
Review: I use this as a night cream as it is thick and takes a while to absorb into the skin. I find this to be too heavy to wear under makeup. I like this product but have not yet decided if I will repurchase when it is gone.
Product: Yes To Cucumbers Hypoallergenic Facial Towelettes
Price: $5.99 for 30 wipes
Where to Buy: Walmart, Ulta, Online Stores
Review: I have probably bought 6 packs of these since I started using them. I use them in the morning before I moisturize to remove any bacteria, gunk, left over makeup, whatever from my face. I feel that they brighten my skin and depuff my face a bit. They are soothing and perfect for sensitive skin.
Product: Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
Price: $25.00 for full size (idk how many oz that is) I have the 1oz travel size I paid $9.00
Where to Buy: Clinique, some Sephora's and Ulta's
Review: I love how this makes my skin look and feel. It is not too heavy or greasy. I picked this up at the front of a different Ulta than the one where I work, my Ulta does not yet carry Clinique, because I really wanted to try it. In my excitement to try a new product I did not read the ingredients and I am very sad to now find parabens in this product. I try to not use products that contain this because parabens are bad for your skin and have been linked to causing cancer in women. If anyone knows of a comparable product that is paraben free please let me know! I will use up the tube I purchased but I will not buy this again unless the formula changes.
Product: Aveeno Active Naturals Sunblock Lotion 100+ SPF
Price: $11.99 for 3oz
Where to Buy: Drugstores, Ulta
Review: I am a sunblock freak! I use this everyday no matter how much sun I think I will get! Not too smelly, this is a must have for me!
